Spacecraft begin launching from the station. Trajectories show that most are aimed at the korglob fleet remains, while a few of them are aimed at the Saratoga. The missing scavenger also re-emerges, before the destruction of the asteroid hangar.

Most of the attacking drones on the asteroid surface are destroyed in the onslaught. Within the battleship, however, drones continue to mine out parts and technology from its bow, traveling ever deeper into it.

sneaky stuff happens in the asteroids below.

As the Terran Dominion ships move off and the OTS command ship is reeled in, the Saratoga fills the gap in the station's perimeter. The main particle cannon fires first through the disintegrating Kraken. A followup shot is discharged by the outrigger gun emplacement on the second hull. Two bioforms collide with the frontal shielding, splattering away harmlessly. The reserve fighters screen the area, looking for targets among the viscera and ship debris. Sensor data from the station below was troubling, whole areas of the structure had gone dark and were showing no bio-signatures at all, while other regions displayed a buildup of inheritor lifeforms swarming through hull breaches and forced open airlocks. As a group of unmanned and seemingly brand new spacecraft launch out of the Arduant, the defensive batteries of the Saratoga open fire on them. Perhaps there was some credence to the Technarchy's warnings after all. No machine built by the UL or the OTS was capable of such rapid battlefield construction. This was a new threat, especially to the salvage team only beginning their work on the abandoned Korglob cruiser.

The gravity field around the smaller worm collapses as Cannibal II's systems reach their maximum heat load. Using its remaining field capacity, the massive ship slowly pushed itself away from the furball behind, spewing fire all the way.

The assault ships bound for the station continue on their way, despite the technarchy missiles. One smashes into the middle ship, melting away the armour and exposing the inside to hard vaccum. Most of the troops within were fully buttoned up, but the few that weren't die instantly. The missile targeting the lead ship however, was seized by a gravity field similar to that of the Cannibal II and was flung back towards its firer, followed by a massive humanoid figure.

Raakshas 2 shot past its allied craft, sending a pair of missiles towards the recessed section of the technarchy destroyer's topside, keeping his speed high to prevent counterattack.

Ajagara twisted round and made his way back towards the ARM asteroid, unfazed by the detonations across its surface and the cloud of drones surrounding it. He opened a channel to the asteroid and spoke out:

<<ARM, this is Ajagara. I'm preparing to enter the station, forge me into a greater weapon, so I may smite down our foes.>>

The massive cybernetic overhaul both members of Raakshas squadron had taken meant that the ARM's own goals had bled into their minds: they were both under almost complete control of it.
