Challenge - Match by Christmas

I have a challenge for you guys.
To complete it you have to finish a match before christmas 2016.
The rules are as follows:
- The match must be a 1v1
- It must contain at least 10 rounds (5 per player)
- It must have a reasonable conclusion (Ready to be put in finished matches)

Let's see who makes it
Good luck, and happy spriting

Edit. I forgot to mention that it does not have to be a new match. Completion of a already started match counts too.

Man, do your move already!
BTW, idea is good, however, I doubt that someone will achieve that.

Put your money where you mouth is Krutzel. ;)

Hey it might convince some gullible people to necro and post more often?

Actually I might be able to do this by Christmas; oi Piskat are you still here? We could try and finish this up as a way for you to get back into PW.

RE: Challenge - Match by Christmas

Gah, I'm working on it Stefman, I just got my sisters old pc, a windows vista with the old version of paint Plbbbfft
It's 40% done Winky
But really, I just want to see some more matches going on. So many just laying waiting for continuation.

I don't understand the talk about necroing.
Isn't that a term used when reviving a outdebated topic? That's not really what I connect with continueing a match. It should be considered OK to take breaks with matches

RE: Challenge - Match by Christmas

Hey there's nothing inherently wrong with Vista's Paint. I've been using it for the entirety of my PW career. In fact I'm even using it right now to re-update my old sprites.

I think the whole necro-ing term has been diluted over the years across message boards, forums, etc to just mean making a new post in any thread that has not seen activity for prolonged periods of time. Which would technically include about 99% of the threads on this entire forum.

Still I think rebooting a match is fine, so long as all involved parties agree to it. It's about the journey, not how long it takes.

Word.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that paint. It only takes a few extra clicks some times. Like changing colors.
Otherwise it does mostly the same.
I'm still waiting for a paint with key-commands though... Why, oh why...
Until then, I'm pretty happy with Aseprite. It's 10 bucks or something though

I'm done with my round now, I'll just have to write a description.
It took a while to get back in the groove. I'll probably have it up later today

RE: Challenge - Match by Christmas

Yeah I wish there was an eyedropper shortcut so I could quickly change colours.

Still Paint has plenty of keyboard shortcuts, although not everyone realises it. It's got gridlines and a "normal zoom" preview function, which can be handy for spriting. And if you master the use of the hidden ctrl, alt and shift shortcuts then doing things like repeatedly pressing ctrl+c will be a distant dream of the past.

I'd be down for it, but at this point I'm only here for creating individual sprites and maps

10 rounds ain't that much. You could just get a small match going, but you decide ;)

Yeah, get a radioactive materials permit first man. ;)

Plus LtO it's not like you were in the running anyway, you can make all the sandboxes and threeways you want but they technically still wouldn't have counted. :P

Goddamnit I was like 1 turn away from finishing Gangsters in Paradise. I would have made the final turn on my own but I hadn't had the time.
