Sandbox Fizzick Maps

THE VOID

In a space between universes, forces clash to gather Pink Vitanium- life energy, sifted through the floating rocks and given solid form. Only here, where the laws of reality become pliable, does it take shape.

Does Vitanium grant life, or does it sap it away unless processed? That's your decision.

WINDY HILL

On a long-forgotten knob, the banner of a great warrior rests. Those who would brave the bone-biting cold and muck find that the banner contains great power of mythical proportions.

(edit 1: added topside shading, varied rock. made plank under soil more obvious.)

A map for short, small-scale conflicts. Whatever powers the banner grants, be it lightning powers or just glowing rays of Leadership +1, should be determined before the battle.

RE: Windy Hill

That's a cool way to do clouds, and the shading is wonderful. I'd suggest adding similar shading from the cave's light source to the ground topside, though. Otherwise it may look odd with people's units up there, with how brightly colored some are.

Good point! I'll add that now.

I wish my maps were just as wonderful-looking as yours. Would you love to share your secret?

RE: Fizzick Maps

Hate to say it, but I think the glowing pink fish bones "ruin" the map. Seem to intrusive and out of place.

Michael Rosen YTPs are still funny.

RE: Fizzick Maps

Thank you P. I just practice actual art and apply those principles to maps. It's not that wonderful tho.
(Pixelation and /ic/ are good art spots on the netwebs)

Didn't see your post T. I kind of agree. I'll get rid of them.
