Killer in my hometown

There is a killer hiding somewhere in my hometown. He's already killed three cops and injured two more, and the area my best friend lives in is locked down. He has been out there for about 16 hours now, and he was last spotted about 3 hours ago. This is pretty freaky, because stuff like this doesn't really happen in Canada, especially in Moncton.

RE: Killer in my hometown

You clearly have not been to Yorkshire, this sh** happens everyday and just last month I was kept till half 5 in the morning by police banging on my neighbours house.

Joking aside, you'll be okay man. Don't worry about it, life goes on once the crazies have been caught.

RE: Killer in my hometown

That doesn't seem really unusual. Not so long ago there was a killer nearby who got town mayor and quite a lot of other persons (his kill count was about 5, 10 if we count in unconfirmed i think, though they apparently never got him). In a town which 3.000 people. Bah, if you think you are in danger (paranoid) close everything and barricade yourself in toilet with something that you could use to fite off crazies. Axe? I'm not sure about guns but ye Canadians sure have axes.

Shooting in Canada must be rare.
CNN was able the have "Canada Shooting" in their link, despite having possibly thousands of news pages.

RE: Killer in my hometown

Yeah, its unusual for Canada, and even more so for my hometown. There was a gang war in my friend's backyard this one time though, but that's all I can think of.
EDIT: I don't think he'll come down my way, there is a spot where he could get stuck (the road washed out and is undergoing repairs) plus the cops have the area he is supposed to be in surrounded, so he can't go far.

This is why I live in 'Murica. So I can own a disturbingly large number of guns and attach them to tripwires wired to the doors and windows so if anyone tries to come in they get a nice surprise.

RE: Killer in my hometown

hahaha
My only easily accessible weapons right now is my knife, machete, bow (without arrows though) and my slingshot. i have two shotguns in the basement but unfortunately there would be a murderer in the way.

And apparently, the killer is armed with two high-powered rifles, a crossbow, and a knife.

That's why I keep at least 15 guns within easy reach at any given time.

A guy stabbed his two daughters to death a month or so ago just down the road from here. It's pretty worrying.

That's why I would keep at least 15 guns within easy reach at any given time. Sadly, I don't really can because laws.
Also, apparently when killer comes for you in Poland you have right to die. Self defence would be assault or even murder. So i can't really shoot psychos with asg guns.

Thankfully, the gunman was caught last night, about 2 minutes from my friend's house.

Battul, I'm not really into joking about this. It was pretty scary for us because he shot 5 cops, killing 3, for no reason then vanished for almost a whole day. Stuff like this never happens in my province.

Yeah, guys in camo shooting police officers aren't usual here too. What we have usually is gypsies or other illegal immigrants (hey, and people wonder why poles are racist) sliting people's throats for money.

RE: Killer in my hometown

By the sounds of it, the guy wasn't going after 'Innocents' (Though it's debatable whether the police are 'innocent' or not, I'm sure the grieving families will see them as innocent.), I doubt your friend would have been in trouble even if he was right outside. I seriously doubt he was going after JUST your friend.

Yeah, there was someone who said they came face to face with the guy, and he said "go back inside, its not safe out here" or something like that. And on his facebook he clearly expressed a strong disliking towards cops.
