[Civilization] A new age...

Introduction

Have the infamous quote from Cheshire:
Spoiler: Civilization Explanation
For those who don't know about the Civilization gamemode, which was originally developed on Facepunch Studios:
Civilization, or Civ for short, is a unique type of gamemode developed by Penguinnnnnn... something, back when I first started Pixel Wars. Around early 2010, I believe.
Joining users create their own little map and build structures, forge alliances, go to war, and etc.
How to tie all these maps together? The World Map.
The World Map is a grid of tiles, and each tile represents a user's map.
Armies move between these tiles and stuff like that.

Guidelines 'N Rules

General rules apply.
No massive armies, no .JPEG saving, Internet Explorer, wait for someone else to take a turn before you declare again etc.

There is no 'post your sheet' requirement.
As long as your armies don't win battles by eye rape and you've put effort into them, you can join.

To join, place your tile on the World Map and create a map for your territory.
Please remember to put a symbol or your username on your tile.

When you move onto another user's map, declare.
No stack declares too. You don't need to declare if you're the only one on the tile, though.

Do not expand the World Map.
If enough interest is shown, then I'll expand it. Until then, this rule applies.

If you do not declare often, you are vulnerable to replacement.
Usually a week's time from your last declare is the limit; however, this may shorten.

Build speed
There will be no speed building or anything like that. If you start late then you can start with a small base to catch up but thats it.
As for how fast you should be building, you can do it in larger chunks then previous civs, but don't finish like half your base in one turn. Show visible construction turn by turn.

Starting units
You may only start with a small army. About 5 men and 1 or 2 vehicles. The rest you'll have to make or recruit yourself. Like your base, don't pull a huge army out of your arse. If I remember correctly, in previous civs I used to recruit 5 men every 5 turns, as for the vehicle it depends on the size of it obviously.

Travel
You may move the the tile either side of you, and above or below you (as long as there are no obstacles, you can't scale a mountain with a tank etc) You may not move diagonally or go from one side of the WM to the other. If there is a blank space then you have to go around it, but if there really is no other option then you may jump over it.

The WM

You may declare on the world map before you've made an actual map.

GO! GO! GO!

*Sheds a tear*
Inspirational.
Declare on world map unless someone has done that before I typed this. In which case, declare after them
Wait, nevermind. I'm still to make an actual map

Michael Rosen YTPs are still funny.

"All right men"
General Hawkins addresses his men as they get out the back of the truck, "We've got orders to fortify this strategic position. Let's not dilly dally, move it!

High over the ridge of the river, the Quandian position bustles with noise as the soldiers waste no time to unpack their dropships. Regular affair occurs, yet a seemingly out of place but at home soldier peers off into the valley.

Declare?

Edit: Undeclare, it might help to actually make the stuff first.
Will be back at a later time with map 'n' stuffs.

Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool.

Re: [Civilization] A new age...

(I added Snow because my army needs it.)

In the plains between the river and the trees, a truck's engine roars and suddenly halts.
The door of the truck opens and frozen air erupts from it for a second.
4 Snowmen wearing strange uniforms and carrying machine guns slide out of it and take up positions.
The one with the largest hat takes point, obviously the superior one.

Who said they are actually snowmen.
What if they're a species of alien that look like snowmen.

Re: [Civilization] A new age...

who said i said they weren't not snowmen.

Ok yeah. they are snowmen and a flamethrower would be devistating. but they have long ranged weapons.
also they don't melt in the sun (for the sake of balancing them)

Re: [Civilization] A new age...

Gonna be a late-comer into this match. I just finished a decent enough army with what I need to begin but now I have literally no energy to even start a map. I'll probably join tomorrow.

Michael Rosen YTPs are still funny.

Construction on the base begins, the Mr Gusty has been re-purposed for construction, as well as the usual combat. While it is off to a slow start, once that main skeleton of the base is completed they will soon be ready for whatever they may face in the future.
