The US Army: how generic [WIP]

Hey PW, I've returned from my hiatus (sorry to the match I abandoned). I decided to be super boring and make the US Army as my new main army, but I'm trying to pay a lot of attention to detail. Once the army is done I'd love to test it out in a match. (can we not upload images anymore? I used imgur)

SO what we have here is an nearly finished M60 Patton tank, the unfinished infantry, and unfinished AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom helicopters. CC would be appreciated. I will be adding an M1A1 Abrams, M3 Bradley, Humvee, and more!

I like it! The tank looks really nice as do the soldiers. Also to be extremely nitpickey, and I mean really, really nitpickey, your soldiers' heads' are not proportioned correctly. They are too big. Don't worry though, nobody's soldiers heads' are (except Jager's). For your guys to be 25 pixels tall the head should be 3 pixels tall, its a pretty moot point. The only reason I mention this is because lately I've tried to make a pretty anatomically correct soldier and its pretty hard.

Thanks! And yeah, I've tried to work on the soldier's heads, and this is the best way I've found, lol. Anyways, I just finished coloring the Viper:

More contrast wouldn't hurt, the shading looks very flat right now. Your tank is at a good level of contrast, though it's wheels are blending into the background hull.

The contrast on the tank was hard to get right, but I can fix it. And thanks for the tips on the chopper! I'm gonna fix those and then start working on the Venom now.

Well, that dirt on M60 looks too bright. I am sure that it will be better if you'll keep old version, but make wheels brighter a bit. Viper looks good, maybe except the nose turret: it looks like integral part of the chooper's hull.

Made the tank's dirt a less saturated color and added contrast on the heli turret.

I've been working on this alot lately, as well as a new method to color and camouflage sprites. I'll have a spritesheet up soon.

Okay, so after a long wait, here it is! What we have here is some infantry, a variety of small arms, and some vehicles. I'm planning on adding a Chinook/Sea Knight, MH-53 Pave Low, F-15 Eagle, F-22 Raptor, A-10 Thunderbolt, HMMWV Humvee, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, some more small arms, and some more vehicles that I've probably forgotten. CC would be appreciated. I also hope to do a match with this soon, if anyone's interested.

Your sprites have a clean, detailed look to them, though if you want an idea for a light tank, then either the M551 Sheridan or M8 Thunderbolt (Armored Gun System) would make good candidates.

Thanks! Although I think they could use more contrast. In regards to your suggestions, I did think of those two tanks as possible light tanks, however I am using only current vehicles which disqualifies the M551, and I just don't like the look of the M8  :v:

Nah I was worried about that too. However I think it is an illusion created because the helicopters are really big... I am thinking about lengthening it some though. I did spend an hour looking up the actual sizes of the vehicles and changing them into pixel sizes through proportions, and it turned out that my abrams should be a few pixels longer, nothing more.
