TheOmegaPyro's Maps

My first try at a map. maybe i'll get a bother to do more.

Swampy Forest
[Image: hNPNZ9.png]
Scenery - Red mushrooms and Mangrove trees sit on small islands and in the murky water. A hut sits in the center, with a table with lamp, chair and crate (When doing a match you can decide whether scenery is an obstacle or not.) Vines grow up the walls from the murky flooring and hang from the trees. Flies (black dots) hover around the map, attracting to the foul smell.
Even though this one looks medieval, the lamp in the middle can double as an electric lamp. for modern or future themes too!

Would like constructive criticism and improvement ideas.

Re: TheOmegaPyro's Maps

I'd suggest working on the details and textures a little more, and maybe smoothing the surface of the ground, because right now it appears to be composed of small steep ridges and random flat areas. Not bad, but could use some work.

Complex backgrounds can be hard to work on.

Re: TheOmegaPyro's Maps

He's talking about the tree's especially the one near the door in the background. What I would do if I were you and still wanted the trees maybe make them tall and put them where no one will likely go. Make a canopy of treetops.
