[City at War] Empire Bay

[City at War] Empire Bay

Welcome friends! This will be a sort of free for all match, like killzone.

A bit of story on the map:
Empire Bay, such a swell town. Well, before the war it was; now it's just a hell hole like the rest of the place. It's deserted of its residents now, but that doesn't mean that everythings quiet...

Rules
-Declare to make a turn.
-Wait for two people to make a turn before you declare again, unless its been 24 hours.
-Stack declaring is aloud up to 2 people.
-Make sure you don't darken the image (check whether your browser supports copying or saving). As always, don't use IE.
-Ask to join first and I'll put you on the player list.
-Don't be a dick and kill everything, half the fun is seeing your own guys die in spectacular ways.
-Don't spawn with two many guys, the map isn't huge so moderation please.
-You can bring in more guys if all your people die.
-A bit cliché, but have fun!

The hum of the lights in the old warehouse can easily be heard as the city is so quiet. Cheung, the commander of this small group steps out of the APC and looks at his men. They're scared, but fiercely loyal to their country. "This Capitalist slum has been empty for a while, but who knows what pigs have come back to it now. Be alert brothers!"

The URF Hurricane dropship descends silently from the night sky. Inside is a strike team composed of 2 engineers, 6 light assault troopers, 2 heavy assault troopers, 1 commander and 1 recon trooper; 12 men in total. Their mission is to secure the area for colonization by killing anything else that might already be living there. The interior of the ship is eerily silent as it descends, nobody dares to break the silence by speaking. Eventually, one of the pilots speaks in a heavy Texas drawl.

"Alright boys, we're hoverin' over the landin' zone. I'ma set ya down on that roof down yonder, scans are showin' a hole that y'all can access the street from."

The commander replies;

"Okay. Anything we should know before we get our boots on the ground?"

"Yup. Scanners are pickin' up some heat signatures to the west. A few human sized ones and what looks to be a vehicle."

"Much obliged."

The pilot smiles at this.

"The honor was mine alone. Give 'em hell, Robinson."

Jensen begins to fill up his (recently) acquired Jensen Interceptor. He is flabbergasted at how similar the apparent vehicle's engine is to the Dogmatican fuel injection system. Once he found the filling spout to put the pump into he was on his way to cruisin' around town in a cool new car. However, Jensen mustn't forget about the main purpose of him being in this town the first place. His reason and the reason for all other Dogmaticans is to determine whether the native species of this planet are hostile or not then attempt to convert them to Dogmaticans like them.

BAM. Joint insertion between Her Majesties Royal Navy, and A.C.E., or Advanced Cognitive Entity. Neither usually do small scale operations like this, but its just recon. It just so happens to be recon with a heavy gunner deployed with them.

On the ground floor, a corporal and his sergeant chatter with each other...
"So, Sarge. You get a bad feeling about this deployment?"
"Yeah. It doesn't exactly settle well with me"

Suddenly, all the men here a faint hum piercing the silence of the night.

"We are not alone here.." Mutters Commander Cheung, as he climbs into the apc. "All men advance foward!"

The diesel APC isn't exactly quiet as it fires up, smoke sputters out the exhaust pipe and the vibrations echo in the ground. Upon his command, a gunner and pyrotechnic head into the shop opposite the warehouse.

The dropship descends near the roof and some of the soldiers file out nonchalantly. The ones still on the dropship are unloading weapon crates. A couple are carrying assault rifles and shotguns, while a heavy trooper hefts a grenade launcher.

Suddenly, the sensors in the dropship's cockpit begin blinking.

"SHIT! I think they might've detected us. Those signatures to the west are movin' this way. What the hell... I'm picking up additional heat signatures in the building next to us! We landed right on top of them! I don't understand how I could've missed 'em. Goddamn glitchy shit."

Though the pilot is panicking, the commander remains cool and collected. In a calm, and almost uninterested voice, he addresses the pilot.

"Then you'll want to get out of here fast, because there's gonna be one hell of a party to be had here. Circle the area from a higher altitude, I'll give you a call for extraction when we're done here."

He then asks the man on point for a status report.

"I don't see anything sir, it's dead quiet around here."

"Good, that means whoever's down there hasn't detected us yet. And I'd like to keep it that way. Keep it quiet, and don't go around shooting at shadows. I don't want to lose the element of surprise. Everyone, switch to night vision, and try to get inside this building through that hole."

Jensen knocks on the door to the shop that holds many shiny things. When no one answers, he starts to pound, then he starts twisting on the handle, but nothing works. There is one glass door between him and all the treasures of the world town. However, Jensen never let a puny glass door get in his way and he realizes what he must do. He revs the engine and is pedal to the medal until the interceptor collides with the door sending shards of glass across the jewelry shop not realizing that the glass will make it nigh impossible to see any of the real sparkly things.

The noise of a revving engine and and then the distinctive sound of shattering glass wake, and or startle the others, the one inside even dropping a can of soup.

Uhh, Fahrenheit are you saving your images as jpegs? There aren't any artefacts or loss of quality or anything, but you be saving them as .png

Thats odd, I was pretty sure I was saving them as pngs. It must be the uploader.
Edit: Yeah it was the uploader, I changed my last post to be png now.

The soldiers move onto the next street, but stop when they hear more noise in the distance.

"Yoo idiots ah!" Shouts the commander from the inside of the APC, with a thick mandaranian accent. "Yoo said dis a city empty, yoo riers!"

"It is a coming from otter side of apartment-s ah" Shouts back the front soldier.

Meanwhile, still in the clothes shop, Huan puts down his gun and admires the fine american clothes. "Ahhhhh, we no hab clodes rike dis in Chiner"
