PW advanced, bases.

What is it?

This advanced pw mode would involve making a map and match with a [Bases] tag.

In it you would have a farm style gameplay. but every turn you take in a match or a player takes in your base equates into the ability to do so in the base match.

It would play like a Civ games base, research, production, ect.

What are its uses, and what can other players do to it?

If you made an army and a large transport, you could spend your turns transporting that army into a civ match or so on.

Other players can enter and do whatever, except build a base unless you say they can.

Your enemies can come and siege it, but not destroy the base, only units and production facilities.

What do you plan for it to become, coolity?

I hope that players will do this, and that these become a pw metagame.

The Summarye

Win a match? Built a base there? Put it in your thread as an outpost or something!

Win a civ? Share the planet with allies and make a colony!

Need reinforcements in a match? Call in your airstrikes from you base!

That is all.

This sounds exactly like civ except instead of containing it in one topic you have made about twelve of them

It is like civ, but as a small-ish metagame. Think of it this way:

Put your won matches maps here that had bases and use the thread to deploy troops into matches, research new stuff. ect.

Yes it is. But as a homebase for that army that can deploy units into matches. :doh:

To be honest I don't really see the point, either you'll be playing civ and keeping it nicely together in one thread or you will be playing a normal match, where you can just call down reinforcements whenever you want without having to bring them from another map
It doesn't really seem to be adding anything

Actually the definition of metagame would be more like talking about what's happening in your match outside of the match.

I think it'd be pointless but it would add to some realism and even help tell stories of your army more I guess.
If I am reading it correctly, it would be like a farm/single person civ/collection of won matches sort of thing.
It sounds like it could be fun if executed correctly or a complete disaster if done slightly wrong.
