Roll to Dodge: The Sequel: The Movie: The Game: Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Roll to Dodge! A game of deception, heroics, and the luck of the die!

        What it is:
Roll to Dodge (RtD) is a game where a group of roughly 6 players gamble with their limbs and lives as they await helplessly for the results of their roll. Think of it as a stripped down version of DnD where the only thing you have to worry about is not rolling a 1 or 6.

        How it's played:
Players will be put into a scenario and be given obstacles they have to overcome. Once the GM gives them their scene the players have choices to make. The choices are completely up to you, the results of your action is based on the roll of a 6-sided-die. The die results are as followed.

        1. Ultra Fail
        2. Super Fail
        3. Failed
        4. Succeeded
        5. Super Succeed
        6. Ultra Succeed

        Example.
There is a fence in Timmy's way. Timmy wants to jump over the wall. Based on what he rolled determines how well he jumps over that wall.
A 1 will have an outcome similar to this...
"Timmy runs at full speed towards the wall. Gaining momentum and the confidence to clear the wall as he gets closer and closer. However, due to his intense speed, he trips over his own feet and face plants into the wall. His nose is broken and is bleeding profusely. He has a small concussion and now has a crippling fear of walls. -2 to any roll involving walls"

Whereas a 6 could have a result such as this.
"Calculating the height of the wall and the distance from it, Timmy begins to run. He knows the precise distance required to jump the wall, and does so on the exact moment. Something is wrong though. He cleared the wall, but he's still going up. Timmy has unwillingly launched himself into orbit. A few moments pass and he is now falling at terminal velocity towards the ground."

        Rules:
        • No god-modding. You may not become god, be invincible, instantly kill anything, or do anything of that sort. I will be the judge of what is considered god-modding.
        • You may gain access to powers, but be wary about what the outcome can be should you roll too high or low.
        • Once you're dead, you're dead. For good. You may opt back into the game but if there is a list then you will be placed at the bottom of said list
        • A Maximum of 6 players. First come first serve
        • You have a maximum of three (3) days to post your action. Failure to do so will result in an aneurysm. We can't wait forever.
        • If you inform me that you cannot post within 3 days you will be put on hold and will not die. You will be replaced though. Any equipment and/or powers you have will remain when you return.
        • Actions regarding Observing, Talking, or very Simple Actions do not require a roll
        • All dice rolls will be rolled by me to ensure all rolls are fair.
        • Equipment, abilities, and rolls may result in an addition or subtraction towards your next roll regarding a certain action.

Anything I forgot or missed will be addressed so check back from time to time. And with that, lets have our victims sign up. The game will start when there are 6 people added to THE LIST.

        THE LIST!
        • Optimus Lime
        • Sir Piskat
        • The-Cod
        • Denmen
        • [b]Jafhar
        • [b]Jroncladd

        [b]THE DEAD
        • GunkillerJ. Death by aneurysm.
        • Dragonspawn. Death by aneurysm.
        • Pandarsenic. Death by aneurysm.
        • Kyre Death by aneurysm.
        • Agent10361 has ceased to even exist.

        THE WAITING

I'll have a go, if you don't mind minorly delayed updates(school ends at 3:00, and my curfew is 7:30, not a lot of time to post, ya know?).

ill join since i got nothing going on

You have severed our d├ętente and forced me to unleash upon you the vengeful flames of a thousand suns. You shall curse your mothers for the day of your birth. So, go now, go, and begin your life of fear, knowing that when you least expect it, the looming sword of Damocles will crash down upon you, cleaving you in twain and as you gaze upon the smoking wreckage that was once your life, you will regret the day you crossed the WRONG FISH!!

Re: Roll to Dodge: The Sequel: The Movie: The Game: Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Six men enter. One man leaves. Or all six, I don't know. Mr. Gimpi, if by some reason I cannot complete a round you may temporarily take over as DM until I can return.

The air is humid and warm. The smell of salt and fish fill the room. You hear the occasional creak caused by the wet floorboards as the ship rocks back and forth. The room is small and dark, save for a beam of light coming out of a small window adjacent to the rusty bars of the brig you find yourself in. The chains around your hands and feet are tight as you can feel the blood trying to circulate in your wrists. Across the room there are two staircases, one that leads towards the surface and one that goes deeper into the ship.

Re: Roll to Dodge: The Sequel: The Movie: The Game: Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Pandarsenic: >Pick lock on shackles with any suitable object I can find

6
Scurrying around like a mouse you try to find anything to help you unlock the shackles. With your amazing perception you actually find a key with a note attached reading "Use me!" Without a second thought you use the key, but it's a trap! The key was a catalyst towards the shackles, and they tighten their grip every second. You yell in agony as your bones break and snap from the pressure. The shackles, now basically inside your arms, begin fusing with your skin. They grow bones, and veins, and even skin. The shackles are now forever a part of your own body.

DragonSpawn: >Join Pandarsenic in his search for any objects that could be used to escape, loose floorboard nails perhaps.

1
Panic sets in. You frantically look around for anything to break the lock and be free once more. Your childhood fear of magic tricks and police begin to shroud upon you like a dark veil. Admitting defeat after a few minutes of searching, you realize that this must be destiny and give up all hope. Even if you do find the key to your shackles, you will never again have the will and strength to unlock them.

Kyre

Due to Kyre's recent grounding, he will be put on hold until he can come back. He will not die because he informed me of the circumstances. With that being said, Optimus Lime will assume control of the color orange and Kyre will be put on hold until further notice.

Sir Piskat: >Observes the others looking for objects and decides to help with the search

You watch as Pandarsenic and Dragonspawn absolutely go insane from their tiny hand prison, and Kyre simply fade out of existence.
(I forgot to put into the rules that observing, talking, or any very simple action does not require a roll. My apologies. Since you wasted a turn without knowing I will give a +1 or -1 to your next roll)

GunnerKillerJ: > look for objects to break the chains around everybody's hand and feet and try to help the others

3
You look in the seemingly small cell for anything that is strong enough to break the iron chains, but all that there is would not be durable to satisfy your wish.

Denmen: > Scout the area outside of the brig.

You see everything in that little picture I drew up for you guys.
(Same thing with Piskat. +1 or -1 to your next roll as compensation)

Moments later you hear the muffled yell of someone above the deck and the scurry of feet running around in hectic patterns soon after. The excitement settles down as you notice a figure walking down the stairs that leads up to the deck. . The man wields a large single-sided war axe. He is draped from head to toe in a purple robe. His face completely covered with rags, and only the glow of his fiery yellow beads of eyes fixated upon you is seen. A jingle can be heard with each step he takes.

(Rules updated)
(Kyre is out, Optimus Lime is in)

Insanity and depression will not stop me! All or nothing!

> Enable Rage Mode. I CAN BREAK THESE CUFFS.

Failing that, assuming I've not put myself in any crippling amounts of pain, be the first to address the stranger and try to obtain information as to why we are imprisoned. (Or would the information part be a separate roll? If so just ask who the stranger is.)

Asking for information does not require a roll. If you were trying to intimidate or bluff him, that would require a roll.

NO REGRETS

Finish absorbing the shackles and make their strength my own.

Also, I don't think what happened constitutes super-succeeding at escaping, but NO REGRETS
