I am a person who has decades old uniforms from places that don't exist anymore, and sometimes I like to play dress up army man in the woods. Sometimes I also take photos, and Photoshop them so scrubs can't tell if they're scanned from Soldier of Fortune magazine. This is a thread for that and other things.

A mostly complete Yugoslavian setup, circa 1960 - 1980. Given the lack of a shovel carrier and y-straps it could also be a territorial defense setup that could go well into the civil war of the 90s.

A similar shoop done of a photo of my friend Troy, who reenacts Vietnam.

These are cool. I love how candid they are, or appear to be. Also how you edited the photographs to be period-appropriate, damn son.
I actually can't take credit for the photos themselves, but the people who took them and who are in them asked me to Photoshop them up. I probably should've mentioned that I only took the first one here beforehand.
Pretty sure in WWII / The Cold War/ whenever the fuck this was set, they didn't have random signs saying '134' though.
That's not a very modern looking sign. It's not like random signs are a particularly recent invention. You don't even know what time period it's supposed to be set in, so who are you to say that signs didn't exist way back then?
I'm pretty positive a sign made for a firing line painted in the same font the Italians put on most of their stuff during the war. Stop trying to nitpick.
Why is the Lewis Gun(?) unloaded?
Geez. Some people can't take a joke.
I should explain that those signs look identical to the ones found near industrial freight train lines around Sheffield. I thought you just took this near an abandoned freight line and forgot it was there or something. How am I supposed to know what a firing line is supposed to look like?
Reenacting is serious fucking business, sir. It's hard to tell when someone cracks a joke because that's actually something someone would probably say. :(

I think they were just messing around with it and taking it apart. The pan mags are off to the side, though.
Damn, are those people reenacting their country (or at least "race") forces? Because, hell, they look exactly as they should. German looks like German, Italian like Italian (muh moustache), Troy looks like 'Murican and you... look like Asian but that's proably just your eyes. :V
In reality I'm just a dirty south slav. It's at least fitting for what I was doing.

You make that sound like a bad thing.

Well, in that case I'll have to embrace the panslavism, and the only way to do that is as ONE OF COMRADE TITO'S PARTISANS.
